Ambroxol Richter Syrup 100ml – Cough & Mucus Relief

Indications:
Ambroxol-Richter contains the active substance ambroxol hydrochloride, which belongs to a class of drugs called mucolytics. Ambroxol-Richter reduces the viscosity of airway secretions, which can thus be more easily eliminated by coughing.

This medicine is indicated:
- in diseases of the bronchi and lungs (for example, in chronic bronchopulmonary diseases, in acute bronchial diseases and acute episodes of chronic bronchopneumopathy, bronchial asthma, bronchiectasis);
- in sinusitis;
- as preventive treatment, before and after surgical interventions in diseases with a risk of pulmonary complications.

Contraindications:
Do not take Ambroxol-Richter:
- if you are allergic to ambroxol hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Precautions:
Before taking Ambroxol-Richter, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding:
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
It is not recommended to use this medicine during pregnancy and breast-feeding.

Driving and using machines:
This medicine may very rarely cause headache and dizziness. You should be careful while driving or using machines until you know how this medicine affects you.

How to take:
Always take this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

The following doses are recommended:
Adults and children over 12 years of age 5 ml Ambroxol-Richter 2-3 times a day for the first 2-3 days, then 5 ml Ambroxol-Richter 2 times a day
or 2.5 ml Ambroxol-Richter 3 times a day.
If increased efficacy is required, the dose for adults can be increased to 10 ml Ambroxol-Richter 2 times a day.

Children aged 5-12 years: 2.5 ml Ambroxol-Richter 2-3 times a day.

Children aged 2-5 years: 1.25 ml Ambroxol-Richter 3 times a day.

Children under 2 years: 1.25 ml Ambroxol-Richter 2 times a day.

Patients with severely impaired kidney function:
If you have severely impaired kidney function, talk to your doctor because in this case the maintenance dose should be reduced accordingly and the interval between doses should be prolonged.

Composition:
- The active substance is ambroxol hydrochloride. One milliliter of syrup contains 6 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride.
- The other ingredients are hydroxyethylcellulose, liquid sorbitol (see section 2 “What you need to know before you take Ambroxol-Richter”, paragraph “Ambroxol-Richter contains sorbitol (E 420)”), glycerol, propylene glycol, sodium saccharin, benzoic acid (E 210), Tutti Frutti flavoring, purified water.
